The Clean & Safe Program accepts applications for our Maintenance Ambassador position. You may obtain a copy of our employment application by clicking here. Maintenance Ambassadors provide some or all of the following services:

Tree maintenance

Safety Ambassadors provide the following services:
Beginning July 1st, 2011 the Safety Ambassador team is contracted through Heritage Security Services. Heritage Security Services can be contacted at (619) 275-7000 during regular business hours or via their website at http://www.heritagesecurity.com/jot_culture.html.

Deter quality of life nuisance crimes, such as aggressive panhandling

Work with the Homeless Outreach Team (HOT) to provide social service outreach referrals

Assist with directions and information

Add a presence in downtown to prevent undesirable behavior

Maintain open communications with police to report on-going issues
-
Conduct routine patrols
